About Twespians

Twespians is a gathering of theatre professionals from all walks of life, whether it be admin, production or critics/bloggers. It’s a chance for people who usually only talk online to come together, have a few drinks and make new connections with like-minded folk. We have people from every level of the industry, so whether you are a student or a CEO, feel free to come along. The only caveat is that you love theatre.

In addition, we also run Twespians Fringe sessions. What the Fringe offers is smaller, more specific events to help you become better arts and social media practitioners.

Twespians started as part of Social Media Week 2010 at the Theodore Bullfrog. With 5 successful events in 2010 and over twice as many planned for 2011, Twespians is growing faster than any of us imagined. We attract members from across the UK, with companies including The Stage, Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, Hoipolloi, Channel 4, Sadler’s Wells, SOLT, Spotlight, IdeasTap, ATG, Royal Academy of Dance, Lyric Hammersmith, Box of Tricks, BBC, RADA and Almeida Theatre.

We have been written about on The Stage, A Younger Theatre, and Spoonfed, as well as a host of theatre blogs.

Twespians is the brainchild of Luke Murphy and Laura Tosney. If you’d like to find out any more then feel free to contact either of us on Twitter.
